$1,000 Buggin’ for Success Scholarship

Pestcom Pest Management is pleased to announce its new scholarship for incoming and current college students. The Buggin’ for Success Scholarship was designed to help students further their education and work towards graduation. One student will be awarded the $1,000, one time scholarship that is split over two semesters. We believe in hard work and dedication and we want to help students who working towards a degree of their choosing. Our scholarship is designed for graduating high school students but also any student that is currently enrolled in a 4 year college program. Our scholarship is available for international students, as long as they are studying in the United States of America

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be:

  • Enrolled or accepted into an accredited undergraduate program in the U.S.
    (This includes incoming freshmen)
  • Scholarship is open to all majors

Note: Only one submission is permitted per applicant. Previous winners will not be able to enter again

Scholarship Details

  • An award of $1,000 will be given out
  • This amount will be broken up into two deliverables
    • $500 will be given for the fall semester
    • $500 will be given for the spring semester
  • The funds awarded will be sent directly to the University for them to disburse

Submission Deadline

  • 12:00 a.m. MDT on Saturday, October 31, 2020

All submitted essays will be reviewed by the Thrive Scholarship Committee. The scholarship winner will be selected and notified via email on Monday, November 30, 2020, for fall semester

How to Apply

Any student who meets the eligibility requirements is invited to apply for the Thrive Best Bug Scholarship. To apply, students must submit a 500+ word essay on one of the topics below. Essays should prioritize the use of statistics and research. We will only accept four submissions for each topic. Once the maximum submissions have been entered, the topic will disappear from the list, so do not delay in submitting your essay after you have written it!

Scholarship Rules

The funds from the scholarship must be used for tuition, books, university fees, housing, or other course-related expenses. Additionally when you submit an essay, you give full rights for Thrive Pest Control to publish the essay on their website. Thrive reserves the rights to edit or modify the essay before and after it is posted.
