Calm, Compliant Protection for Kid-Focused Spaces
Schools and childcare centers need a measured, inspection-led approach - not blanket treatments. Pestcom’s program emphasizes monitoring, exclusion, sanitation, and service-by-issue so we only treat when thresholds are met. Work is scheduled to minimize disruption, with after-hours options whenever possible.
Ideal for: public/private schools, preschools, daycares, early learning centers, youth facilities, and before/after-care programs.
Our IPM Approach (Service by Issue)
- Thresholds & Triggers: Written action thresholds by pest and zone. If monitoring shows activity below threshold, we focus on sanitation/exclusion only.
- Least-Toxic Methods First: Mechanical removal, trapping, targeted baits in tamper-resistant placements, crack-and-crevice work; broad applications are avoided.
- Inspection & Monitoring: Sticky monitors/rodent devices mapped and logged; routine checks guide any treatment decision.
- Exclusion & Sanitation: Door sweeps, gap sealing, food storage guidance, clutter reduction, drain maintenance.
- Scheduling: After-hours, weekends, or breaks preferred; coordinated with custodial and admin teams.
- Notification & Recordkeeping: Staff/parent notices prepared when treatments are scheduled; labels/SDS provided in service reports/notifications or upon request; visit notes retained for audits.

FAQs
What notification do you provide?
For any treatment visit, we supply staff and parent notices with date/time windows, areas to be serviced, and basic precautions. Labels/SDS are included in the service report/notification or available upon request. Monitoring-only visits typically require no parent notice unless your policy says otherwise.
Are playground treatments allowed?
We prioritize non-chemical controls for playgrounds (nest removal when accessible, scheduling to avoid use, and exclusion). If treatment is necessary, we use strict buffer distances, after-hours timing, and clear signage/notice - always aligned with your policies and applicable regulations.
Can you work only during off-hours or breaks?
Yes. We prefer after-hours, weekend, or break-period scheduling for any activity that could disrupt classrooms, kitchens, or play areas.
Do you help with rodent issues at dumpsters/compactors?
Absolutely. We implement exterior station grids, advise on enclosure sanitation cadence, and coordinate with waste vendors to reduce attractants.
What about documentation for audits or board meetings?
Your IPM binder/digital folder includes service reports, trend summaries, device maps, and notice templates - ready to share with administrators, boards, and inspectors.
