Beetle Control in Boise
Free On-Site Beetle Inspections with Written Estimates
Beetles found near windows, in pantry products, around fabrics, across landscaping, or in damaged turf may come from different sources. The species, life stage, location, and surrounding conditions all shape the appropriate response.
We start every new inquiry with a free on-site pest inspection. A technician assesses relevant interior and exterior areas, explains the findings, answers your questions, and provides a written estimate before you decide whether to proceed.
Describe where you’re seeing beetles and request an inspection by calling (208) 795-3298.
Treasure Valley Pest Service Since 2009
Our family-run, locally operated company provides beetle control for Boise homes and businesses. Rather than applying the same treatment everywhere, we base our recommendations on the activity and conditions found during the inspection.
Every service technician is individually licensed by the Idaho Department of Agriculture and trained on current products, safety, and application practices. We review the proposed treatment and price before starting, and nothing is performed or billed without your approval.

How We Identify the Source of Beetle Activity
An effective inspection looks beyond the insects you can see. We assess where they appear, whether the source is indoors or outdoors, and which accessible conditions may be allowing the activity to continue.
The inspection may evaluate signs associated with:
- Pantry beetles: Activity in dry goods, packaging, shelving, and nearby cracks where stored-product pests may be present.
- Carpet beetles: Evidence near fabrics, rugs, closets, upholstered items, lint, or natural fibers.
- Seasonal invaders: Adult beetles gathering around doors, windows, vents, utility penetrations, and other exterior openings.
- Lawn and turf beetles: Activity involving soil, grass, vegetation, landscaped areas, or plant material.
Property-Specific Treatment Planning
Exterior prevention is the backbone of our standard pest service, with interior areas addressed as needed. Depending on the identified insect, its location, and the source of activity, recommendations may include addressing accessible harborages, entry points, indoor spaces, or exterior areas. Follow-up visits may also be appropriate when the source or life cycle requires more than one service.
Tell us about children, pets, aquariums, reptiles, birds, or specific sensitivities before service. We can add those details to the work order and provide clear instructions for your household. After each visit, we provide digital service notes and recommendations, with photos available on request.
Why Species Identification Matters in Boise
A clear photograph and notes about where and when you found the insect can help our technician assess the sighting. An on-site inspection may still be necessary to identify the source in an established home, townhome, commercial space, newer subdivision, or property with extensive outdoor areas.
Identification is particularly important when an insect resembles a regulated or monitored pest. The Idaho Department of Agriculture documented a Japanese beetle eradication effort in Boise from 2013 through 2018, with 2018 listed as the last year Japanese beetles were trapped in the city during that effort. A suspected Japanese beetle shouldn’t be treated as proof of an established local infestation.
When activity involves landscaping or turf, we can also assess whether coordinated pest, lawn, or weed services are appropriate. Any recommendation will depend on what the inspection reveals.

-
Do you offer commercial or HOA pest control?Yes. We provide commercial pest control for offices, restaurants, schools, multifamily properties, warehouses, and HOA common areas across Boise, Nampa, Meridian, and the broader Treasure Valley. Each program is built around the property's specific pest pressures, occupancy patterns, and compliance needs, and commercial agreements are negotiated by individual property and proposal with terms tailored to the owner or management company.
-
Do you service rural properties, acreage, and homes near canals?Yes. The Treasure Valley has a mix of subdivision homes, acreage, agricultural property, and homes near canal corridors and irrigation ditches — each environment creates different rodent and insect pressures, and our technicians adjust inspection points and treatment plans accordingly. Properties near water sources typically experience heavier spider and web activity, and acreage often requires additional attention to outbuildings, entry points, and rodent harborage areas.
-
Do you require a contract, and how does cancellation work?Pestcom uses a service agreement rather than a fixed contract — a 12-month initial agreement that converts to month-to-month after the first year. The agreement is mutual: we commit to delivering the services quoted at the agreed price, and you commit to giving us the opportunity to address any service concerns before canceling. If a concern is raised and we're unable to resolve it, no cancellation fee applies. Customers moving outside our service area without a transfer option are also exempt from any cancellation fee. After the first year, service is month-to-month and can be canceled at any time with no fee. Cancellations are processed via written notice or a conversation with our billing team that we document in writing. Commercial agreements are negotiated individually by property and proposal, and specialty services like bed bug, termite, and one-time treatments operate on service agreements rather than annual contracts.
Transparent Treatment Plans & Accountable Follow-Up
We explain our findings and recommendations in plain English, communicate through your preferred combination of texts, calls, or emails, and document the work completed. Your plan reflects the species, location, level of activity, and conditions found at your home or business.
If ongoing maintenance is recommended, recurring service begins with a 12-month agreement and continues month-to-month afterward. Early cancellation within the first 12 months carries a $100 fee. We review these terms upfront so you can consider the full commitment before approving service. Covered plans include responsive follow-up between scheduled visits, and our re-service guarantee provides a return visit at no additional charge if covered activity returns.
