Cricket Control in Boise
Serving the Treasure Valley Since 2009. Free Inspection, No Surprises.
Late summer in Boise brings more than heat. House crickets and field crickets begin pushing indoors as temperatures shift, and by the time you’re hearing them inside the walls, the entry points are already established. Pestcom Pest Management has been solving that problem for Treasure Valley homeowners and businesses since 2009, with technicians individually licensed by the Idaho Department of Agriculture who assess your specific property before recommending anything.
Every cricket control service starts with a free on-site inspection. Your technician walks the interior and exterior, identifies entry points and conditions drawing crickets in, and explains what they found in plain English. A written estimate follows. Nothing is treated, and nothing is billed, until you’ve reviewed the plan and approved it.
Ready to stop the noise and protect your home? Call us at (208) 795-3298 to schedule your free cricket inspection in Boise with no obligation and no hard sell.

What Crickets Are Actually Doing to Your Home
The two species Boise homeowners encounter most are house crickets and field crickets. House crickets are the smaller, yellowish-brown ones, roughly three-quarters of an inch long, nocturnal, and drawn to moisture-rich spots like basements, crawl spaces, and the damp mulch beds along your foundation. Field crickets are darker, closer to black, and generally more comfortable outdoors, but they push inside when conditions shift in late summer and early fall.
Neither species is just a noise problem. Crickets chew through wool, silk, leather, cotton, and other natural-fiber fabrics, and they’ll work through wallpaper and clothing stored in humid spaces. Outdoors, their feeding can leave bare or stressed patches in the lawn. Even a handful chirping inside at night can disrupt sleep quickly. The conditions that invite them in tend to be straightforward: moisture near the foundation, woodpiles or organic debris stored against the house, and gaps around doors, windows, or utility penetrations.
How Our Cricket Control Process Works
Exterior perimeter treatment is the foundation of effective cricket control. Creating a treated barrier around the structure helps stop crickets before they find a way inside, which is more reliable than chasing them once they’re already in the walls. During the inspection, our technicians identify the specific entry points and harborage conditions on your property, then build a treatment plan around what’s actually present rather than applying a standard package to every job.
Interior service is included when the inspection shows it’s warranted. After the initial treatment, one or two follow-up visits may be scheduled to confirm the barrier is holding. From there, an ongoing maintenance plan keeps the perimeter fresh through the high-activity season and into year-round coverage. Recurring plans bill in simple monthly installments, and a 12-month agreement locks in your rate before continuing month-to-month.
Every household detail that matters gets saved to your account:
- Pets, children, and sensitivities: Note aquariums, reptiles, allergies, or other sensitivities, and we tailor application methods accordingly
- Gate codes and HOA requirements: Stored securely so exterior visits can happen while you’re away, provided gates are unlocked and pets are secured
- Service documentation: Digital notes after every visit so you know exactly what was treated and why
- Arrival communication: On-my-way texts and 2-hour arrival windows so you’re never left guessing

-
Do you offer commercial or HOA pest control?Yes. We provide commercial pest control for offices, restaurants, schools, multifamily properties, warehouses, and HOA common areas across Boise, Nampa, Meridian, and the broader Treasure Valley. Each program is built around the property's specific pest pressures, occupancy patterns, and compliance needs, and commercial agreements are negotiated by individual property and proposal with terms tailored to the owner or management company.
-
Do you service rural properties, acreage, and homes near canals?Yes. The Treasure Valley has a mix of subdivision homes, acreage, agricultural property, and homes near canal corridors and irrigation ditches — each environment creates different rodent and insect pressures, and our technicians adjust inspection points and treatment plans accordingly. Properties near water sources typically experience heavier spider and web activity, and acreage often requires additional attention to outbuildings, entry points, and rodent harborage areas.
-
Do you require a contract, and how does cancellation work?Pestcom uses a service agreement rather than a fixed contract — a 12-month initial agreement that converts to month-to-month after the first year. The agreement is mutual: we commit to delivering the services quoted at the agreed price, and you commit to giving us the opportunity to address any service concerns before canceling. If a concern is raised and we're unable to resolve it, no cancellation fee applies. Customers moving outside our service area without a transfer option are also exempt from any cancellation fee. After the first year, service is month-to-month and can be canceled at any time with no fee. Cancellations are processed via written notice or a conversation with our billing team that we document in writing. Commercial agreements are negotiated individually by property and proposal, and specialty services like bed bug, termite, and one-time treatments operate on service agreements rather than annual contracts.
