Boxelder & Elm Seed Bugs Treatment Seasonal nuisance invaders like boxelder bugs and elm seed bugs swarm homes across Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, and neighboring Treasure Valley communities — especially in late summer and fall. While harmless in terms of biting or structural damage, their large numbers and tendency to invade siding, windows, and indoor spaces can be a serious irritation for homeowners. Pestcom’s targeted control stops these invaders before they become an indoor problem.

Mouse Control in Boise

Local Mouse Control in Boise Since 2009

Finding mouse droppings in the pantry, hearing scratching in the walls, or seeing a mouse dash across the floor is unsettling. You want it handled quickly and safely, and you want to know the problem won’t keep coming back.

At Pestcom Pest Management, we’re a family-run pest control company based in the Treasure Valley. We provide professional mouse control for Boise homes and businesses as part of our full range of pest control services, addressing current activity and conditions that may allow mice to return.

Every new visit starts with a free on-site inspection and written estimate, so you understand what’s happening and what it will take to address the problem before any work is done.

Our technicians are licensed by the Idaho Department of Agriculture, trained on current products and safety, and focused on clear communication in plain English. We walk you through our findings, answer your questions, and review pricing upfront so there are no surprises. If covered pests return between visits, we come back at no charge.

Call (208) 795-3298 or contact us to schedule your inspection.

Why Boise Homeowners Choose Pestcom Pest Management

When you invite someone into your home to deal with mice, you’re not just buying a service. You’re trusting people with your space, your family, and often your pets.

We have served Boise and the wider Treasure Valley since 2009 through our trusted Boise pest control services and across the broader Ada County service area. That local experience informs how we inspect common activity areas, including crawl spaces, basements, garages, and foundations.

We explain findings, options, and pricing in plain English. Treatments are tailored to your property rather than applied as a one-size plan, and we keep you informed through proactive texts, calls, emails, and service notes after every visit. If you have children, pets, aquariums, reptiles, or other sensitivities in the home, just let us know and we can adjust our approach accordingly.

Mouse Problems in Boise Homes

In Boise and across the Treasure Valley, mouse activity often increases during colder months when rodents look for warmth and shelter inside homes and commercial buildings.

Common signs of mouse activity include:

  • Droppings in kitchens, pantries, or storage areas
  • Scratching or movement sounds in walls, ceilings, or attics
  • Chewed food packaging, wiring, or insulation
  • Nesting material in enclosed or undisturbed spaces
  • Grease marks along baseboards or wall voids
  • Musky odors in garages, crawl spaces, or cabinets

Mice can access a property through small gaps. Common entry points include cracks along foundations, gaps around utility penetrations, poorly sealed doors, crawl space openings, and areas where pipes or conduits pass through exterior walls. Garages, attics, and wall voids are frequent activity areas once mice are inside.

Boise properties near open land, foothills, or irrigation features may see increased pressure in fall as temperatures drop. That seasonal pattern is one reason our inspection covers both interior areas where activity is noticed and exterior conditions that may make a property accessible to rodents in the first place.

Our Mouse Inspection & Treatment Process

When you schedule service, we offer flexible time windows and helpful reminders. During the free inspection, your licensed technician checks both interior and exterior areas where mice are likely to be active.

We look for:

  • Droppings, gnaw marks, and nesting material
  • Entry points along foundations, doors, and utility lines
  • Travel routes, likely nesting zones, and conditions that support rodent activity

After the inspection, we provide a written estimate and explain our findings, recommended plan, and pricing in plain language. Treatment may include traps and strategically placed tamper-resistant stations. We base placement on observed travel paths and activity areas, not just where mice are seen.

We also provide exclusion recommendations to help address access points and reduce the likelihood of additional rodents entering. Follow-up visits allow us to monitor activity, check stations and traps, and adjust treatment as needed. The typical flow is an initial service, one or two follow-ups as needed, and ongoing maintenance when appropriate. You’ll receive service notes after each visit, and photos of findings or treatments are available on request.

Service Options & Scheduling in Boise

We offer one-time service and recurring maintenance plans for mouse problems, with follow-up monitoring as needed.

Recurring plans are billed in monthly installments, use a 12-month agreement to lock in pricing, and then continue month-to-month. Rates vary based on property size, pest pressure, service scope, and current promotions. A same-day treatment may be recommended when appropriate, but the plan and price are reviewed before any work begins. Early cancellation within the first 12 months carries a $100 fee, and all terms are explained upfront.

For commercial accounts, landlords, and property managers, we offer consolidated billing and coordination with tenants for access, preparation, and follow-up documentation. Recurring service centers on exterior prevention, with interior treatment performed as needed.

Appointments use morning, mid-day, or afternoon arrival windows. The first visit and any interior work typically require someone to be home. Exterior maintenance can generally be completed while you’re away when gate access and pet requirements are handled in advance. We send on-my-way texts and reminders, and any weather-related changes are communicated proactively. Before we arrive, it helps to secure open food, note where you have seen or heard mice, and clear reasonable access to areas like under sinks or near the water heater.

Our FAQ

Have questions? We are here to help. Still have questions or can't find the answer you need? Give us a call at 208-795-3298 today!

  • Do you offer commercial or HOA pest control?
Yes. We provide commercial pest control for offices, restaurants, schools, multifamily properties, warehouses, and HOA common areas across Boise, Nampa, Meridian, and the broader Treasure Valley. Each program is built around the property's specific pest pressures, occupancy patterns, and compliance needs, and commercial agreements are negotiated by individual property and proposal with terms tailored to the owner or management company.
  • Do you service rural properties, acreage, and homes near canals?
Yes. The Treasure Valley has a mix of subdivision homes, acreage, agricultural property, and homes near canal corridors and irrigation ditches — each environment creates different rodent and insect pressures, and our technicians adjust inspection points and treatment plans accordingly. Properties near water sources typically experience heavier spider and web activity, and acreage often requires additional attention to outbuildings, entry points, and rodent harborage areas.
  • Do you require a contract, and how does cancellation work?
Pestcom uses a service agreement rather than a fixed contract — a 12-month initial agreement that converts to month-to-month after the first year. The agreement is mutual: we commit to delivering the services quoted at the agreed price, and you commit to giving us the opportunity to address any service concerns before canceling. If a concern is raised and we're unable to resolve it, no cancellation fee applies. Customers moving outside our service area without a transfer option are also exempt from any cancellation fee. After the first year, service is month-to-month and can be canceled at any time with no fee. Cancellations are processed via written notice or a conversation with our billing team that we document in writing. Commercial agreements are negotiated individually by property and proposal, and specialty services like bed bug, termite, and one-time treatments operate on service agreements rather than annual contracts.
